Places worth seeing when at Ohiopyle, besides the main falls, is Cucumber Falls on Cucumber Run downriver from the Ohiopyle falls, the Chutes (slides) on Meadow Run, the High Railroad Bridge at the "Loop" take-out on the bicycle trail going downriver from Ohiopyle, the Cliff Swallow nests beneath the Rt381 bridge over the Youghiogheny River, the Old Growth Hemlock trees on Fern Cliff Trail near the Loop Take-Out, Baughman Rocks scenic overlook two miles east from Rt381 on the Confluence Road.

Flowers that grow and bloom on Ferncliff Peninsula at the river's edge includes Barbara's Button (Marshallia grandiflora), Carolina Tassel-Rue/Bugbane, Possumhaw Viburnum, Yellow Stargrass, Balsam Ragwort.
