Written by Fide Master and former Australian Postal champion Bill Jordan.

Since 1989 I have written a number of chess related programs. Some were originally written on the mighty Amiga, and were ported to the PC via Visual Basic for Dos. Most of these programs now run under Windows and some new ones have been added.

Most of these programs are zip files.If you have questions about a program email me with details.

CHESS TEACHER

ChessTeacher teaches the rules of chess for the absolute beginner. It is also useful for helping novices and intermediate players develop a complete sight of the board, using some original approaches.


What operating systems will the programs run under?
They will run with Windows XP, Win 2000, Win NT 3.x, Win NT 4.x, Win 98 and Win 95.

What are the possible screen sizes?
The program window can be set to 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 and 1280x1024.

How are programs recieved?
Programs can be sent to you as an email attachment if you have a high speed connection otherwise you will receive a download link by email. The files are roughly 2.5 meg each.

How are the programs installed?
All the files need to install the program are in a single zip file. Open the zip file and run the setup.exe file. Follow the steps to install the program.

How much do the programs occupy?
Each program and its data will only occupy about 200k. A number of system dlls will be installed which occupy several meg.
