Dortmund Round 4 11th July 2005

Not many of the games strayed very far from equality in round 4. There was only one decisive game where a not very challenging opening as white from Emil Sutovsky gradually drifted to a loss against Etienne Bacrot.

Peter Leko got nothing from the opening against Vladimir Kramnik and things blew over in 25 moves as the pieces came off.

Vesselin Topalov also got nothing against Peter Heine Nielsen and the game was drawn in 34. A pretty similar scenario was seen in the game Adams - Naiditsch.

Loek Van Wely looked to get more against Peter Svidler but missed his best chance and the game was drawn in 51 moves.
