Welcome to the Pittsburgh Chess Club! The PCC has roots going back to the early 1900s, and remains committed to serving the needs of chess players in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. We have one of the largest chess libraries you'll ever see. We also have a large supply of chess equipment. Refreshments are available.

The first event will be on Sunday, June 1 in Market Square. There will be play for children, simuls, speed chess, free 3-minute lessons, and more! Come downtown to play, learn, and enjoy the other summer programs in Market Square!

Location:
We are located in the Wightman Community Building (formerly the Wightman School) on Solway Street in Squirrel Hill. This is between the cross-streets of Negley Avenue and Wightman Street, one block from Wilkins Avenue.

Hours:
Our hours of operation are 1pm-9pm Wednesday, and 12pm-10pm Saturday.
Events and Classes:
We frequently host USCF-rated tournaments on Tuesday nights and on weekends. Check out our tournament schedule for details. If you are currently registered for one of our Tuesday night tournaments, look for next week's pairings online.
On Sunday afternoons and Monday nights, ICCM Jerry Meyers has chess classes for young players at the PCC. More information about Jerry's classes is available here.
