John Loughran Web Design and Homepage updated

Fáilte, Bienvenu, Benvenuto, Bienvenida, Wilkommen, Welcome to the Irish Chess Calendar website.  Originally designed to advertise chess events in Ireland this site now exists as a reference for players and tournament organisers, giving details of events in the Irish chess calendar in recent years.  It is hoped that this information will be useful in preventing clashes and provide a guide to prospective tournament organisers as to where gaps exist in the calendar.  Good sources of  information on forthcoming tournaments are Irish Chess Online and Chess Ireland.

Recently updated with a full list and details of tournaments rated submitted by the Irish Chess Union rating officer Vincent Bissett as above.

As a reference for players and controllers I also provide a Complete Calendar of the 1998/99 season, including all events, as well as a one page Event Planner (for 1999 as a guide for tournament organisers to avoid clashes).
