Alleged gunman fell through cracks of probation system
Cambridge -Probation officers had no way of telling whether Kevin Merzier was actually at work when he allegedly drove on Pine Street Monday, firing a gun out the window of his car. His radio frequency monitoring device could only tell probation officers whether Merzier was at home or not. In contrast, GPS monitoring can track the wearer’s daily whereabouts.

Cambridge -On Tuesday, Sept. 9, Whole Foods Market stores in Cambridge will donate 5 percent of its profits from that day’s sales to Cambridge-based non-profit CitySprouts. CitySprouts is an educational schoolyard gardening program serving Cambridge Public Schools.
