Denver area

The Aurora Chess Club meets Saturdays, 1-4 PM, at the Aurora Public Library, 14949 E. Alameda. They now have a coach for those that want to learn to play. Contact Jeff Baffo at jbaffo2004@msn.com or (303) 617-9123.

Smoky Hill Library Centennial Chess Club offers beginner to intermediate chess for kids & teens. This teen-run group meets twice a month on Sunday afternoon from January-May and September-December at Smoky Hill Library (5430 S. Biscay Circle, Centennial, CO 80015). All skill levels are welcomed. Chess Knights meets on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday Evening from 7-9pm. From 470 & Broadway, on Broadway go 1.3 miles south, at the light, turn right onto Highland Ranch Parkway, go 0.2 miles, to the first light, turn left onto Ridgeline Blvd., go 0.2 miles, the library is on the left. North Jeffco Chess Club an active club for over 33 years, meets every Thursday night at 7:30 PM until 11:00 PM at 10425 W. 64th Place (between Miller St. and Oak St.) in Arvada. Enter at the south west door, we play in the basement. Free coffee or hot tea, plenty of free parking. No cost to join our club. We usually start off playing speed chess, then switch to bug house.


Colorado Springs Area

Colorado Springs Chess Club meets Tuesdays, 7:00, at the Acacia Apartments at Platte & Tejon in downtown Colorado Springs. Many different activities, tournaments. Call Richard Buchanan at (719) 685-1984.
USAF Academy Chess Club meets most Fridays during the school year, 4:00 - 6:00 PM, Fairchild Hall, Room 5D2. Call Jim Serpa or Pete Cohen, (719) 333-4470.

Boulder Chess Club meets Wednesdays at the Unviersity Memorial Center on CU Campus in room 382 starting at 6:30 PM. Carbondale Chess Club meets every Tuesday from 6pm until the wee hours at Kahhak Fine Arts & School, 411 Main St, Carbondale. All levels and ages are welcome and chess coaching is available. Casper Chess Club (Casper Wyoming), meets Tuesdays at 6:30 - 10:30 PM, St. Patrick's Church, 400 Country Club Rd, Casper, Wyoming.
Delta Chess Club meets every Tuesday evening (6:30 to 9:00 pm) at the Bill Heddles Recreation Center, 530 Gunnison River Drive. All levels of play are welcomed. We have occasional one round a week rated tournaments. Contact Bill Merrell at chessed2@aol.com.

The Pueblo Chess Club meets at the Barnes and Noble on Mondays, The Daily Grind Cafe on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Blitz Round Robin Tourneys on Thursdays only.
