Instruction for the Beginner

Introduction

Whether you're completely new to chess, or haven't played in a long time, or even if you know some of the basics already, I highly recommend you start from the beginning of this course and work you're way through it in its entirety, in order to make sure that there are no gaps in your understanding of the fundamentals. Work through each tutorial listed below, preferably in order. (You can also navigate to each tutorial via the nav bar or site map, of course.)
