Border Zone (Infocom, 1987)

A spy adventure, Border Zone was divided into three parts, with a different character the central figure in each. In part one, you are an American businessman, in part two an American spy, and in part three, a KGB agent. Though there was a complicated underlying story between the three sections, there was little continuity between the various parts. This game also was also Infocom's first real-time game where things would happen while you waited to decide what to do, which provided the extra edge the game needed. While not one of Infocom's harder adventures, the new innovations the game employs make it definitely worth playing, especially if you enjoy spy stories.
