The Coveted Mirror (Penguin Software, 1983)

Despite the technology with which it was written, The Coveted Mirror had a lot going for it, including colorful, atmospheric graphics, a good story, and even three arcade sequences. As if all this wasn't enough, it also had numerous puzzles, nearly all of which had straightforward solutions, most of which were easy enough to figure out, though not overly-simplistic. Easily enjoyable by adults and children alike, and a game that holds up pretty well even many years later, The Coveted Mirror was (and is, if you can find it today) a worthwhile entry into the early catalog of graphic adventures.
