The Dagger of Amon Ra: A Laura Bow Mystery (Sierra, 1992)

A follow up to The Colonel's Bequest (which features the same title character of Laura Bow), The Dagger of Amon Ra proves that, no matter how hard Roberta Williams may try to write a mystery, she simply cannot succeed. Despite being incredibly dull and pointless, even moreso than The Colonel's Bequest, the story, taking place in a museum and involving Egyptian scenery and artifacts, is slightly more interesting. However, it still suffers from one of the major faults that plagued the first game: bodies rack up nearly continuously, but none of the other characters ever seem to notice or care. Add in bad graphics and dull music, and you have a game that is not worth your time, even if you're a mystery fan.
