The sixth in Sierra's aging series, Leisure Suit Larry: Love For Sail! is a considerable improvement over the two previous games in the series--Leisure Suit Larry V: Passionate Patti Does a Little Undercover Work and Leisure Suit Larry VI: Shape Up or Slip Out!. Sierra has finally managed to find a way to make the cartoonish graphics work to a degree, and they actually manage to fit in with the theme of the game rather than clash with it (though whether or not the style is correct for the game is open to debate). The game also features an improved interface which, though still mostly mouse-driven, does use typing at points to create puzzles that, while some are still frustrating and may seem unfair, do force the player to think instead of mindlessly point and click. Though most of the humor misses its mark and the increased emphasis on sex does little for the game, Leisure Suit Larry 7: Love For Sail! is a vast improvement over the previous two games in the series, and is certainly the best choice of the three latest installments to play.
