Space Quest V: The Last Mutation (Sierra On-Line, 1993)

The Space Quest series made up for the wretched Space Quest IV with Space Quest V, the best Sierra On-Line icon game. It spoofs science fiction of all types, but uses an unbelievable and somewhat tacky drawing style (though nowhere near as horrible and disgusting as that of the latter Lesiure Suit Larry games), although it does have some good music and an interesting plot. This game likes to have fun with itself and the genre, and while there are a few moderately difficult puzzles, many are given away far too easily, making this a better game to be entertained by the jokes than by the challenge. An interesting story does help this game, though it won't make too much sense unless you have played the previous game (this game is pretty good but NOT worth that).
