Star Trek 25th Anniversary (Interplay, 1992 or so)

One of Interplay's few true adventure games, Star Trek 25th Anniversary does have many interesting features and familiar characters and background which assist in achieving believability. The characters, situations, and even the look of the game is lifted right out of the original Star Trek series, which provides a good amount of flavor and the brightness needed for the game to succeed in carrying out its philosophy. While there are many action sequences, some of which are quite difficult, most of the game is in the standard adventure game format with a somewhat clumsy interface and poorly designed puzzles that rely more on luck and correct cursor positioning than anything else. Barring that, this is an interesting game, recommended especially (but not exclusively) for fans of Star Trek.
