Secret of the Silver Blades (SSI, 1989 or 1990 or so)

The third in the series of Gold Box games begun with Pool of Radiance, The Secret of the Silver Blades is an interesting game, with a fairly interesting story. With quite an expansive and scenic geography, there is little opportunity to be bored in this game. Unfortunately, despite the good points about the game, it revolves almost entirely around combat. You can basically delineate the various segments of the game by where each set of combats take place. Though the other games in the series have had more than their fair share of fighting, it does seem to be a little to excessive in this game. The last two combats in the game, though, are challenging, and good for the game's finale. If you don't mind lots of fighting in a CRPG, you will probably find this one to be one of the better games in the series.
