TimeQuest (Legend Entertainment, 1991)

Legend's second game, TimeQuest is much better than their first, Spellcasting 101, with improved graphics, and better though still imperfect sound support. The only problem with this game is that the plot is outlined almost entirely in the documentation, and there is little plot development as the game progresses. But as the game covers all seven continents in many different time eras, there are lots of puzzles that require items from various ages and knowing how to use them correctly, which turns into a fascinating search. You also will learn a lot about history, and part of the charm of this game is seeing what happens if you don't fix some of the things wrong with time. With a great time-travelish ending and a good cosmic question to give the player some thought, there is no one that wouldn't enjoy this game.
