Toonstruck (Virgin Interactive Entertainment/Burst, 1997)

For the many games that tout humor and gameplay, Toonstruck is far and away the best of the newer ones. Brilliant in every way, Toonstruck combines live action (mostly in the form of your character, played by Christopher Lloyd) and computer animation, humor, good music, and some challenging (though always fair) puzzles to wonderful effect. With the addition of an excellent all-star cast of actors providing voices for the majority of the game's characters, the resulting game is very atmospheric, very enjoyable to play, and very funny, all without sacrificing some of the best storytelling and gameplay in years. A model for most games and most game companies, no matter what you're looking for in an adventure game, Toonstruck has it.
