WordTris (Spectrum Holobyte, 1991)

Yet another Tetris offshoot from Spectrum Holobyte, WordTris hits the mark better than Faces did by returning thought and reasoning to the series, though the freshness of the original concept is still missing. This time around, the object of the game is to build words from the falling letters that appear on the screen. Unfortunately, this is fairly easy to do, and it's easy to fall into trappings built within the game (such as completing a bonus word that clears the screen) that really slows the game down and takes a lot of the fun and interest of the game away. Still, if you are a fan of Tetris and similar strategy games, you will probably find this one, at the very least, interesting.
