Zork II: The Wizard of Frobozz (Infocom, 1981)

Picking up directly after Zork I, Zork II continued the adventure further into the Great Underground Empire, introducing new characters and situations including a devious wizard who would remain a definite obstacle throughout most of the game. While mainly a treasure hunt game like the first one, there is a lot of flavor and color to this game (perhaps even more than in Zork I) and it is definitely worth playing if you played that, or even if you didn't.
