sanctions on basic members

i understand that this site doesnt run by itself. it needs tec support + help. but there are so many sanctions on the basic member. i ask that these sanctions be listed so i (the basic member) can see them. it would aid me in seeing how limited i really am. the site is great as a basic member until you hit those invisible walls (sanctions) so, why not make them visible for all to see so, they can see what they can gain from giving a little money for a cause they surly support!

compare the sanctions with another chess site. see the difference and APPRECIATE it. (e.g. ICC, you have to PAY to even get in.

If you clik on "Members" on the top bar, and then "Memberships", you can see a good summary of what each level of membership (including free) gets you.

I agree, this site is very generous with what it offers free members.  I would have to be a total chess addict to need more than what free membership offers, but then I would have to pay the costs of alimony and child support. :-/

im sorry if my message wasnt clear but i hold this site as second to my heart (first being my heart) so do think that i don't appreciate this site. its just that i hit these "insisible walls" a lot and i just wanted to know where these invisible walls were..

Yes, you can go to http://www.chess.com/membership.html to see the different access levels for the different memberships.

You don't get DEgraded for being free. You get UPgraded for paying.
