You all can be first cuz most of us don't give a flip.
that was interesting.... I just tried that in a real game. Didn't go as good.
Why doesn't black take the rook on a2 with the queen? Admitedly Blacks hosed not matter what, but whites giving it away?
...oh Bb8 but still what's black going to do anyways..
how in hell did the both kings walk all the way to the opposite site. I thought black was supposed to go the other way, confusing. Anyway, my fault but still a confusing puzzle..

bishop b8 is mate
Okay, here is analysis. If QxA2, BB8#. The point of moving rook to A file is to allow bishop to move to B8 to mate. Anywhere else on the same row (C2, E2, F2) adds an extra move when the queen blocks the bishop.Edit: RB2 loses.
Just saw it.

The black queen is pinned to her king, the black king doesn't have a safe square to move to, and the black bishop is stuck in the corner. The only possible moves for black are a queen move along the second rank or to advance the pawn. If black moves his queen, the white rook will be protecting the white knight, freeing the white bishop to deliver check with his bishop on b8. The reason white places his rook on a2 is to prevent the black queen from blocking the bishop check after capturing the rook. If black doesn't capture the rook on a2, but moves his queen to another square on the second rank, the queen will still be pinned, still allowing mate with the bishop on b8. The only other legal move for black was shown in the puzzle and, well, you saw what happened.
EDIT: Just saw your post, Matein1. Sorry for the repetition.
I found that quite easy..
