College entrance still an obstacle to home schoolers
According to attorney Chris Klicka, the primary battle home schoolers used to face was the right to home school -- and legal battles over state regulation of home schools continue to crop up every year. But now, as a generation of home schoolers comes of age and pursues higher education in the nation's colleges and universities, many home school graduates are facing difficulties gaining entrance.

Massachusetts Teachers Fail Licensure Testing, Homeschoolers are next
On Monday, April 7th, The Boston Herald featured an article by Michael Graham about school teachers in Massachusetts who have failed an eighth to tenth grade level test numerous times and are allowed to remain as teachers in the public schools soon to be backed by the Massachusetts Democrats in Senate who unanimously voted for a waiver program for teachers who fail the test at least three times. Like swinging a dead rat in a marketplace everyone who sees this is horrified. Of course, this is the reaction the Democrats in Massachusetts and The Boston Herald, and most likely Graham are looking for and they’re getting it as thousands of American families are up in arms concerned for the education of their children. Why would the Massachusetts Senate vote to give them a waiver for failing three times? Why bother trying to pass at all if by failing they achieve easy success? Who would not agree with this logical fallacy? This is the very reason we need to look for something more beneath the obvious emotionally charged surface.

Educational Problems & Solutions
With the new school year just beginning, it may be useful to examine a myriad of educational problems along with some rather simple solutions. The education establishment, especially the National Education Association (NEA), wants kindergarten to begin at an ever earlier age. This is because they know a child’s values are shaped during the earliest years of life, and they believe parents often instill “improper” (biblical or traditional) values in their children. They will also inform a parent that the professional teacher knows best how to teach students, thus NEA’s opposition to homeschooling.

How Children Are Sexually Corrupted in Public Schools
One of parents’ most important duties is to protect their children from harmful sexual values and behaviors. Yet many public schools force potentially harmful, sometimes shockingly explicit sex education on their students. Most of the time, parents have no control over the content of these classes. Occasionally, a group of parents finds out about a particularly obnoxious sex education class and protests to the principal or local school board. The class may be dropped, only to be replaced by another class that teaches equally objectionable material, again without parent’s consent. School authorities’ attitude towards parents on this issue shows their anti-parent bias, and their contempt for parent’s rights to control the values their children are taught.

Obama embraces charter schools in education plan
Barack Obama is promising to double funding for charter schools and replace inferior teachers, embracing education reform proposals normally more popular with Republican candidates.
