It's the right platform for America.....now we just need to make sure we sell it the right way. We have most of the media and all of Hollywood against us, but it can still be done.

If only platforms were worth the paper they used to be printed on.

I did scan the energy policy around page 31. What's new? Lip service to alternate sources. And to paraphrase Steven Colbert, they want to do more drilling than those parents of eleven kids, Robert and Ethel Kennedy...

Should there be a footnote at the end saying we can necessarilly flip/flop or disregard any and all of the above like we have in the past? From my perspective it is 67 pages of pure bullshit when considering the source and the facts of the last 19 years.

They were going to add that, but John Kerry already had written and trademarked it.

You need to keep in mind that McCain suffers from PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) which is a serious mental illness that disables him from making rational and sane decisions. Remember his threats against Iran by singing "Bomb, bomb Iran" and then laughing like a maniac?
Furthermore he's been consistently showing signs of senility (dementia due to his old age) and even the first symptoms of Alzheimers...

We the People cannot afford to have a drooling, brain-damaged geezer as our next president fumbling around on the nuke button.

Also, few people realize that McCain is a traitor to the United States who collaborated with the communist enemies in Vietnam, provided them with highly classified U.S. information and thus was responsible for numerous deaths of American military pilots in North Vietnam.

For those who want to know more about McCain's treasonous activities during his time in Vietnam, take a look at the following interview with Colonel Earl Hopper who served 30 years as an Army Airborne Officer, spending most of his time as an Intelligence Officer during the Korean and Vietnam Wars:

I don't believe that anyone in his or her right mind would consider voting a traitor to America for president.

Many of McCain's Republican friends have noticed and talked about McCain's problems with anger-control.

Here's an excerpt from an article of a Republican rag with examples:

McCain Presidency Would Be a Disaster

"Mentally unstable and not fit to be president.”
newsmax.com | 012708 | Ronald Kessler

"While McCain clearly has formidable supporters, and his stand on the Iraq war was admirable, those who have dealt with him over the years have been appalled by his outbursts of temper, a character trait the media have largely ignored.

In endorsing Romney, Republican Sen. Thad Cochran of Mississippi, who has known McCain for more than three decades, said his choice was prompted partly by his fear of how McCain might behave in the Oval Office.
“The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine,” Cochran said about McCain.“He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper, and he worries me.”

“He [McCain] would disagree about something and then explode,” said former Sen. Bob Smith, a fellow Republican who served with McCain on various committees.“[There were] incidents of irrational behavior. We’ve all had incidents where we have gotten angry, but I’ve never seen anyone act like that.”

Defending his bill to give amnesty to illegal aliens, McCain unleashed a tirade on Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, who had voiced concerns about the number of judicial appeals illegal immigrants could file under the proposed legislation.
“F*** you!” McCain said to his fellow senator.“I know more about this than anybody else in the room!” McCain shouted.

“People who disagree with him get the f*** you,” said former Rep. John LeBoutillier, a New York Republican who had an encounter with McCain when he was on a POW task force in the House.“I think he is mentally unstable and not fit to be president.”

Andrew H.“Andy” Card Jr., President Bush’s former chief of staff, told me he has observed McCain’s outbursts.
“Sometimes he was pretty angry, but I felt as if he was putting on a show,” Card said.“I don’t know if it was an emotional eruption or it was for effect," Card said.

Democrat Paul Johnson, the former mayor of Phoenix, saw McCain’s temper up close.“His volatility borders in the area of being unstable,” Johnson has said.“Before I let this guy put his finger on the button, I would have to give considerable pause.”
When I appeared on Tucker Carlson's MSNBC show to discuss Newsmax’s disclosures about McCain’s temper, Carlson said on the air,“We got a call earlier tonight from McCain’s Senate office suggesting that we not do this story.[They were] annoyed about it.”
That hint at intimidation is another reason why major media outlets may think twice about revealing what they know of McCain’s temper, which is widely whispered about in Washington.
Yet along with track record, such clues to character are a compass to how a president will conduct his presidency.

Over and over, voters have ignored warning signs of poor character and have overlooked track records, only to regret it once a president enters the White House and becomes corrupted by the power of the office.
When he was a candidate for vice president, Richard Nixon became embroiled in an ethics issue when the New York Post revealed he had secretly accepted $18,000 from private contributors to defray his expenses. It should have come as no surprise that he would end up being driven from office by the scandal known as Watergate.

If we elect a candidate with McCain’s monumental character flaws, we can expect to suffer the consequences."

Maybe it's just me, but, I think McCain made an error by picking Palin as his running mate. I would think that Condoleeza Rice would have been a hell of a lot better running mate than Palin. She's a woman, she's been in politics for many years. She has a ton of experience on foreign policy. And if the old codger, McCain were to all of a sudeen pass away while in office, I wouldn't feel the least wooried for my nation if it were to be Rice that would step up to the plate.

I love Condi Rice -- in fact, I'd rather have her as President -- but there are a couple issues that prevented her from being picked as VP....

1.) She didn't want it. She's been on record saying so.

2.) Even if she did want it, she's too closely linked to the Bush administration. Obama's entire campaign is based on trying to link McCain to Bush. That would just seal the deal.

I never ever forget when Condi was asked at the 9/11 commision about the NIE titled Bin-LAden Set to attack her responce was no one could of imagined. well Condi some one did and they made you look like the incompetent fool that you are. But the best part is that GWDummy promotes her. Got to love the last 8 years of an error.

Holy cow, that came out of Newsmax???? Newsmax is a right wing talking point machine. This is amazing.

Republicans who have worked with John McCain have trashed his reputation while the Democrats complimented him profusely during their own convention. Unbelievable.

This political season is the most interesting one I have ever seen.
