Eddie George won the Heisman at Ohio State.

Are you a Buckeye or a Trojan? That's the question for this weekend. Dan will break down the Ohio State-USC game with SI's Austin Murphy and former Buckeye legend Eddie George. Dan will also look at Michigan-Notre Dame and Wisconsin-Fresno State.

George will also get into this weekend's NFL games. As will the NFL Network's Rich Eisen. Several key games coming up, starting with Patriots-Jets. Can New England win without Tom Brady?

Dan will also break down the science of quarterbacks with Steve Clarkson. Clarkson is one of the premier quarterback gurus in the nation. He's tutored Ben Roethlisberger, Matt Leinart and Jimmy Clausen. Expect Dan to ask Clarkson not just about mechanics, but what it takes mentally to make it at the game's most important position.

Pete Rose set the all-time hit record on Sept. 11, 1985.

Pete Rose broke Ty Cobb's all-time hit record exactly 23 years ago. Pete explained that the reason he had a chance to go for the record was because he got so hot at the end of the 1984 season, so teams thought he could still play in '85.

Rose thinks that one of the reason no one will break his hit record is finances. The best players make so much money, they don't need to play that late in their career. And they get so much money, teams won't want to pay them that late in their career.

Rose had some other interesting things to say.

1. He thinks the Rays could make the World Series.

2. They may face the Brewers once they get there.

3. He loves USC this weekend against Ohio State.

4. Players may have an easier time maintaining their confidence than football players, because baseball players know they're going to fail seven out of 10 times.

DP Producer Paul Pabst, left, and Tony Stewart.

Tony Stewart's in-race rant toward his crew has gotten a lot of publicity. But Stewart says that was a mild exchange between a driver and his crew chief. Stewart says he's fired up during a race and his crew chief Greg Zipadelli's job is to keep him comfortable.

Stewart, in fact, says this whole controversy points out why NASCAR is so great -- you can hear all this. What other sport can you get as close to the sport?

Dan and Tony had a funny conversation about what cars he has. The best one was his tripped-out hearse.

They also had a great conversation about music. If Tony could have one band play at his wedding, he'd go with Led Zeppelin. And Tony revealed Paulie wanted KC and the Sunshine Band.

Here's the Rolling Stone article Dan and Tony were talking about. It's very honest.

The Titans took Vince Young with the No. 3 pick in 2006.

How do you define a bust in the NFL? Is Vince Young already a bust? How about Alex Smith?

Dan points out that often NFL careers are judged based mostly on draft position and other circumstances. For example, Kellen Clemens isn't a big bust because he was a second-round pick. Aaron Rodgers had no pressure on him early in his career because he was behind Brett Favre.

Guys like Young, Smith and Matt Leinart face a lot of pressure early in their career. They don't have as much room to fail. And lots of guys don't respond well to that pressure. You can draft a great player, but teams don't know how they'll react to the pressure of trying to be a savior.

Dan says a huge part of playing quarterback is confidence. You can't go into the game saying "I don't want to make a mistake." That never works.

Dan said he wouldn't take a quarterback in the top 10. You can't figure out their mentality and how they'll respond to the NFL.

Mark Sanchez leads the Trojans against the Buckeyes.

KLAC's Petros Papadakis, who played at USC, says he wouldn't mind if the Trojans lost because the Big Ten needs a lot of help. But Papadakis thinks the Trojans will blow out the Buckeyes.

He had funny stories about Angelina Jolie and Minnie Driver being on the sidelines at USC when he was playing. That's because LA doesn't have an NFL team. And that says a lot about USC. Papadakis paints his alma mater as a bit of a plastic program. Kind of like the California team in the Anthony Michael Hall film Johnny Be Good

Ohio State-USC is winning our poll in a landslide as the game to watch this weekend. What if it's a blowout though?
