   Sep-06-17 World Cup (2017) (replies)

zoren: Gonna guess Dreev is going to have a meltdown and go down 0-2.

   Sep-03-17 A Fier vs Bacrot, 2017

zoren: Alexandr is gonna have nightmares after this one. Black's position is on the verge of collapse on move 19 and Bacrot recovers after some sluggish play. It appeared that many roads lead to Rome but the most thematic was to play Bf4 then g5 (during the repetitions move 19 onward) ...

Sep-03-17 Eljanov vs Lenderman, 2017 (replies)

zoren: That's a painful way to lose.

Jun-06-17 Nakamura vs Giri, 2017 (replies)

zoren: Black's position looks kind of unpleasant already on move 16. Black wants to stop this a5 tickle from W but if he stops it himself mechanically with 17...a5, he might fatally weaken the structure himself.

   Nov-12-16 Vachier-Lagrave vs Ivanchuk, 2016 (replies)

zoren: Planet Chucky

   Oct-01-16 Tal Memorial (2016) (replies)

zoren: Doesn't look good for Tomashevsky. He blew two endgames this event as of round 4. He was famously known along with Jakovenko to be somewhat of a technician and expert endgame player during his 2015 Candidates run but he is unrecognizable here at Tal Memorial.

Sep-17-16 Carlsen - Karjakin World Championship Match (2016) (replies)

zoren: Karjakin didn't look that impressive in the Olympiad and blundered very badly against Harikrishna. It's not going to be a walk in the park for Carlsen but it doesn't look good for the Russian. Even when Carlsen isn't on his peak form, he turns in 2800+ performances and there's no ...

   Sep-12-16 Baku Olympiad (2016) (replies)

zoren: What are the conditions for Canada or Norway to medal (if possible at all)?

Sep-10-16 Baku Olympiad (Women) (2016) (replies)

zoren: USA vs China is a tall order. Might be the Olympiad the US takes double Gold :)

   Aug-22-16 Vasyl Ivanchuk (replies)

zoren: Russian Draughts isn't solved AFAIK and International Draughts has expanded from 8x8 which is known to be soft solved to 10x10 and sometimes to the 12x12 variant which is also popular. Still a surprise though for Ivanchuk to play Draughts instead.
