The The FIDE World Chess Championships take place in New Delhi, India and Tehran, Iran, 25 November - 27 December 2000.

Round 1 Men (72 players) Women (56 players) 27th-29th November 2000.
Round 2 Men (64 players) Women (32 players) 30th November-2nd December 2000.
Round 3 Men (32 players) Women (16 players) 3rd-5th December 2000.
Round 4 Men (16 players) Women (Quarter Finals 8 players) 6th-8th December 2000.
Round 5 Men (Quarter Finals 8 players) Women (Semi-Finals 4 players) 9th-11th December 2000.
Round 6 Men (Semi-Finals 4 players) Women (Final - 2 players) 12th-16th December 2000.
Move to Tehran
Round 7 Men Final 6 games. 20th-26th December (break 23rd December, playoffs if required on December 27th 2000)

Pairings: I have arranged the pairings in groups so it should be possible to work out where players can meet. An example would be Anand. He plays: Bologan or Stefansson in round 2 then if he progresses, Rublevsky, Lputian or Blehm in round 3, Krasenkov, Speelman, Macieja, Beliavsky, Galkin or Wohl in round 4, Leko, Sakaev, Volkov, Khalifman, Lutz, Ghaem, Short, Sutovsky, Nataf, Lautier, Leitao, Benjamin or Fiorito in round 5, the winner of the Top half Bottom Quarter in round 6 and then the winner of the bottom half in the final.
