Sneaky: 18. ...g6 is soooo SNEAKY!

But it seems that White might have saved the game by refusing the offer, e.g. 19. Qh3 or 19. Qe2.

Oct-01-02   toro: no don/t have one
Dec-18-03   DWINS: Although 21...Qxg2+ is slightly more accurate, this is one sweet combo!

kevin86: She was 10 when she played this!! Put her in a time machine-an have her play a young Morphy or a young Fischer!
Dec-18-03   panigma: DWINS, slightly more accurate for what? It's going to be a mate either way!

By the way, when I was ten I learned how to eat spaghetti through my nose.

Dec-18-03   ughaibu: Spaghetti through the nose is great. How many strands at a go? How long to finish a plate-full? What's the preferred sauce?
Dec-18-03   DexterGordon: I suppose what DWINS means is that 21...Qxg2+ is more forcing, since that approach works via checks.

With Rd1, White can delay the mate a couple of moves by checking -- though I don't see any way to stop it!

technical draw: When I was ten I placed my first phone call, Chicago, Ill. 1959, ten cents. By the way Dexter, is that your real name or are you a jazz fan?

TheaN: 21....Qxg2 22.Rxg2 Rd1# is looking better IMO as well. Oh, and DexterGordon, I don't really see a 'series' of checks, two at most: 23.Qxg6 fxg6 24.Bxe6 Kh8...
Nov-07-07   sallom89: nice offense by black it is seriously strange o.0
