Dr. John Nunn created this phrase about the danger of loose pieces; they tend to drop off the board to various tactics.

NM Heisman uses the term <Inadequately Guarded Pieces> to describe what I would call N attackers, N defenders <LOOSE>. But regardless of the nomenclature, one fact is undisputable:
