Kibitzer's Corner
Jan-08-06  Bobak Zahmat: Topalov has had from all the beginning his attacking style. This game proves it once more. Even when it is not clear whether a sacrifice could lead to a win he takes his shot. Because after 30. ... Bxg3?! it is quite unclear how Black can turn the game into a win. But still: Bravo Mr.Topalov, Bravo.
Jan-28-06  woodenbishop: Anand, in fine typical fashion, keeps making moves only an experienced grandmaster can see. Excellent game!
Apr-16-07  PAWNTOEFOUR: after...1...kg8 2.rf2 Qg4 3.Qe1 Qe6 4.Qxe2 b4 5.c4 Rg1 6.rf4 Qg6 mr.topalov's position is quite shaky to say the least...anand finishes him off quite routinely
Sep-22-07  SetNoEscapeOn: Great game by both players!
Nov-18-07  porgue: What an awesome game in the Marshall!!!
Dec-29-08  percyblakeney: This seems to be the first game between Anand and Topalov, the latter could have drawn with 35. ... e2 (followed by for example 36. Re1 Qg5 and an even endgame).
Jun-30-11  sophiephilo: After move 13, there seems to a palpable and inexplicable Topalov decline. at 13, why doesnt Topalov play b f3? and threaten mate in the next move?
