This Debutant director Romesh's film is based on
culture based on Mauritian setting. According to
director that the story has been borrowed from a
French tele series, C'est la vie! The TV serial
made a breakthrough three years ago, by focusing
on the love story between Jai, a Mauritian of
Indian origin and Sophie, a girl from the
Franco-Mauritian
bourgeoisie. Dil Jo Bhi Kahey is largely shot in Mauritius except a small part, which was filmed in Sweden where it earned the distinction of being the first ever movie shot
in the Stockholm Palace, the residence of the Swedish monarch,
due to a backdrop for dance routines and love
scenes, instead, it focuses on social issues and racial undercurrents in the outwardly peaceful nation. | | |
