Chess lectures are held at the club from time to time. Sometimes this involves a series of lectures held over several weeks or it may be just a single lecture.If you wish to attend, write you name on the sheet provided at the club or contact Norm Greenwood.

On August 13 2002 Grandmaster Ian Rogers, Australia's highest rated player presented
a lecture on the Fischer-Spassky matches of 1972 and 1992. He analysed several
games from the matches and also talked about what went on behind the scenes.

State Champion Kevin Harrison.

On 22 August 2000, Australia's highest rated player Ian Rogers presented
a lecture on the games of the then BGN World Championship challenger
(now BGN World Champion)
Vladimir Kramnik, and spoke about Kramnik's prospects of winning
the upcoming match with Kasparov.
