DC Universe Online and Sony Online Entertainment have released (...finally...) new screenshots from the game. Get a look at Bane, the Green Lantern and Bizzaro after the jump.
Via press release at Comic Book Resources comes the announcement that famed comic book writer Geoff Johns, author of such works as the Green Lantern comic book series will be collaborating with Jim Lee on the DC Universe Online project.
"Having a writer of Geoff's caliber brings even more authenticity to the DC Universe Online, and should provide fans with an exciting new medium for his storytelling skills," said John Blakely, SOE-Austin's VP of Development. "Together with Jim Lee, who is our executive creative director for the game, we are tapping into the very best talent from the comic book industry."

GameTrailers.com is hosting a 2 part developer walkthrough of DC Universe Online from SOE's Comic Con 08 demonstration of the game. Previous footage featured a staff wielding rock throwing super, but this latest demonstration shows off some of the neat ice powers in action.

Sony Online has released seventeen screenshots from DC Universe Online. In addition to the screens (some of which have been seen in tiny size elsewhere), there are two pieces of concept art. Check them out after the jump.

Sony Online Entertainment's John Blakely has a post-E3 interview posted at MMOGamer.com. In it he discusses DC Universe Online and its design philosophy. A hands on look at DCUO will be forthcoming for all of us after this week's Comic Con.
Not much, if anything, has been shown since SOE officially announced DC Universe Online. In an odd turn of events it appears the first media for the game has debuted on the new DCUO MySpace page.
