I live in South Florida USA. Rated USCF ~1800

A long time ago I was a new player in a Miami chess park, and one of the stronger players thought I had real talent, so he suggested that I play the park champ, a Cuban master. After the master destroyed me in a few blitz games, the question was posed, "Is he any good?" The answer I took as a great compliment: "Ehh... he tries to be sneaky."

The greatest chess player of all time is Robert James Fischer. The greatest chess problemist of all time is Sam Loyd. The greatest chess site of all time is chessgames.com!

Other players who I admire:

<Morphy> Possibly the greatest natural chess talent ever. Like Steinitz who followed, he taught the world how the game should really be played. <Najdorf> He was smart enough to make his money outside of chess, so he played for the pure joy of it. <Tal> Proved that even in the modern era, chess is an art more than a science. <Blackburne> Sacrificed his queen more times than I've had hot meals. <Diemer> One of the most original thinkers the game ever has known. His ideas were not always right, but they were HIS ideas. <Topalov> He hates draws so much he'll gladly risk losing to avoid one. I can forgive him for the Elista debacle; his chess is payment enough. <Lembit Oll> When on the attack, Lembit Oll said "Dambit All!" <Kasparov> Strive for perfection, one move at a time. <Alekhine> Swashbuckling play culminating in booming sacrifices.

And countless others: Nezhmetdinov, Shirov, Nunn, Shabalov, Nakamura, Carlsen, basically, anybody with cojones.

You can find me on FICS (freechess.org) ... and lately, on ICC as well. I'll gladly play anybody within 1000 points of my rating.

madlydeeply: that is very funny i must admit. I remember Andy once stepped on a loose porchboard...he also had a problem with his "sperms" for a while but it turned out his "sperms" were ok. Ah that was funny.

the husband of the high powered evil lady always has a bit role in every david lynch movie..."my dog barks...." in wild at heart...he was the baron's henchman in dune, he was the father in eraserhead etc.. I don't remember him in mulholland drive however.

"i fell for you...like a boooommmmmmbbb"

Sneaky: Another scene just came to my mind....

That "dashing young suitor" you mentioned (I wish I could remember his name), he pulls out a cigarette and turns to slow-witted Andy and says "have you got a light?" Andy starts to search his pockets one by one, then as if he suddenly realizes that he doesn't smoke, says indignantly "No!" So then our dashing young suitor immediately flicks a flame from the lighter he was holding all the while.

Hahahahaha

Sneaky: <Silverstrike> In case you missed it (buried in all this David Lynch babble), my last move was 9...Nb4. I'm not rushing you at all, take your time, this is a casual game. Just want to make sure you didn't overlook it.

Sneaky: <Silverstrike: I play 13.Kf2> I think you mean you play 14.Kf2, and that you availed yourself of my "if move". (After 12...Nxd3+, then 13.Kf2 would be illegal.)

So I'll assume you meant that the game goes 12...Nxd3+ 13.cxd3 Qh3 14.Kf2 giving us this position:

Now I play 14...d4

madlydeeply: Hey Sneaky I had a moment of weakness (4 hours) last night and watched tv...I saw "the return of the king" hobbit movie and i SWEAR the crazy "Steward of Minas Trith" was that same dashing man in Men's Fashion from Twin peaks!

Older and long haired in the movie.

I need a confirmation. Hmmm Maybe I can dig up photos...
