Hello, everyone!

I think it's been almost a year since I last time logged on this site. happy Now it has much more links and more information than before. Good job, Rick!

I miss you all very much and hope to come and visit you one day.

Thanks for the clubs you run and the tournaments you organise. Chess in Alaska made my stay more wonderful than it could be without it.

Sincerely,
Ayla.

To all Alaskan Chess!

Hey everyone! I just want to say goodbye to all of you. I'm heading back to Philippines this early morning of Saturday.

Don & Rick
I'm sorry I can't make it to the State Championship. This is really a nice website. It reminds me my achievements in chess. Unfortunately, I have to start from the scratch again. My family said that I'm good at chess and that's what I read here too. That's why right now, I'm learning to play chess again. I have this what they called amnesia. It's better for me to be back in the Philippines. Don, I have read your e-mails to me. Looks like I have this thinking of quitting chess before. Maybe it's one of the reason for what happend to me. It's a long story guys and It's better if I kept it private. I'm just hoping that I can have the strength I have before in playing chess. Maybe I'm going to excel much better when I'm in the Philippines. One day, if fate will give me a chance, I hope I can play to everyone here again.

Good luck to everyone and goodbye for now.

Hello,
to all participants of a 2005 Alaska State Championship I wish you all to have a good tournament and let the most skillful & strongest player win the title! I am unable to travel to Anchorage this year to defend my 2004 title, hope to see all at 2006 Fur Rondy. For ICC blitz nuts, I will have another account "cofc-alaska" (in addition to "Rising") for a year (free membership) until next fall, when new Alaska "Closed" champion will inherit it from me. So, by winning AK championship, you also effectively win 1-year ICC membership, I think USCF would continue this practice. Good luck and happy Thanksgiving!

Great website, really very interesting with much chess information. I am a member of the IECC (International Email Chess Club) which can be found at this address: <http://www.chess-iecc.org> How about including it in your links section? If any body is interested and wants some info on the IECC, write to me at: quydsin@yahoo.fr
Again, congrats on the your site!

Great web site.

There are a few names I still remember from 1971-72, when we use to play at Elmendorf AFB on Friday nights.

My board #1(West High)Willy and East High board #1 Wayne.
