Annual Interior Fall Tournament

October 9th - 10th, 2004

The tournament will be a 4 round, Swiss event. All games are played at game in 90 minutes. "Open" (USCF-rated) and "Coffeehouse" (non-rated) section possible depending on number of entries. University of Alaska Fairbanks Campus, Gruening Building, Rm. 413. USCF membership will be available on-site.

Dates and Game Schedule

Friday, October 8th
Advance registration and Blitz Tournament, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at UAF Wood Center cafeteria (2nd floor), just across the street from Gruening Bldg.

Saturday, October 9th
Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. at Gruening Bldg, Rm. 413.
Round 1, 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Round 2, 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Sunday, October 10th.
Round 3, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Round 4, 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Prizes
$$ based on number of entrants. In case of a tie for prize money, two tie-break G/5 blitz games will be played, if still tied an armageddon game will be played (white has to win to win match, white gets 6 minutes on clock against 5 for black, color determined by coin toss).
