Palin: Couric annoyed me

Appearing on a friendlier news outlet, Gov. Sarah Palin said she was "annoyed" with the way Katie Couric handled their interview and complained that the CBS Evening News host failed to give her the opportunity to take a proverbial axe to Barack Obama.

Not Palin knows how WE feel when we hear her talk. She was okay during the debate aside from her folksy act, but before and after, her voice was so annoying, asking the SENATOR, "Can I call you JOE?", very undignified, unpresidential. Can you imagine her meeting the Queen of England? "Can I call you LIZ?" or the Pope, "Can I call you Ben?" It's like she was raised in the Alaska wilderness and never learned basic social skills.

Q: Couric: Well, explain to me why that enhances your foreign-policy credentials.

A: Palin: Well, it certainly does, because our, our next-door neighbors are foreign countries, there in the state that I am the executive of. And there...

Q: Couric: Have you ever been involved in any negotiations, for example, with the Russians?

A: Palin: We have trade missions back and forth, we do. It's very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia. As Putin rears his head and comes into the air space of the United States of America, where do they go? IT IS ALASKA.

It's just right over the border. It is from Alaska that we send those out to make sure that an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia, because they are right there, they are right next to our state.

(Joke of the the year!) LOL

I wonder does she WHINE with the same phoney accent she used last night, in her folksy 'gosh darn' phrases? Ole sarah 6 pack! Just what we don't need in the White House. My perception of her, is that she is an aggressive, opportunistic, narcissistic loud mouth, with no substance, just lots and lots of savy street smarts. Heard she chose ist President Bush as her favorite VP, cause he beacme President...Ole John better have a food taster! As to the Katie interview, it was totally Her ignorance that the country saw..but, of course it was the other guy's fault..what a loser, as well as a whiner!

Damn, does every news outlet (except FOX....surprise!) have it out for McCain/Palin? Jeezzzeee, the McCain campaign has complained about: MSNBC, NBC, CBS, CNN, CNBC, PBS, NY Times, Washington Post....how about this McCain/Palin, change your policies from the ones that have already failed, stop basing your whole campaign on negative attacks, give coherent interviews...that is for McCain and Palin, stop doing gimmicks...remember this, the gas tax, economy is strong, no its not, I am suspending my campaign to fix the bill and I won't debate until it is done(a day later) well, the bill isn't done but I'll debate though, a attack ad because Obama supported the bailout bill, in the same day a attack ad for Obama if he didn't support the bailout bill, I am a maverick and I don't do pork...even though this bill has over $300 million in pork I will support it? The McCain campaign is confusing, unstable, and desperate...he check his so-called honor at the door for Rove-like tactics and it is not paying off for him.

Katie Couric is annoying to most of us I would guess. Her questioning of Sarah Palin was done in a way that was somewhere between condescending and threatening.

Palin certainly didn't give it her best with Couric but she was great last night!

Are you serious Gov. Palin?

I think that Sarah Palin has already become too much like her running mate. Making excuses and trying to cover over the mistakes she's made in the public eye. We all understand that certain media stations lean left or right and she knows that too. She can't go on a station that she considers liberal media and do badly in an interview, then say she was annoyed at the way it was handled. Come on' governor.

Personally, I think Katie Couric gave her every opportunity to answer the question in the way she wanted. Couric was very cordial, gave her more than one chance to do so, and even made some suggestions as to what she was looking for in an answer.

I'm disgusted at the lack of accountability Palin has for her own performance. I think more politicians should be willing to admit they are wrong or don't know something instead of trying to spout off things to make it sound like they know what they are talking about.

That woman is a bad joke.

She can't even answer softball questions from Katie Couric and now whines, yet she wants to be vp? How is she going to address America's very real and very serious problems if she can't even address easy questions without using cliff notes, like she did in the "debate"?

Man, it's like some absurd theater play.

You know, My daughter met Katie years ago at Jamestown settlement in Virginia.
She went on and on about how sweet she was, and I stopped her and said, I had a real strong feeling about how sweet she isn't! Just got that vib that she was a fake.
I'm usually right about these things.
Boy was I right about Katie.
I didn't watch her interview with Sarah, because I knew it wasn't going to be fair.
Unfortunatly, when we were out to dinner elast week. The corner dinner where we went to eat had the news on and they showed a clip from the interview and I was taken back at the scowl on Katies "cute" Little face!

The mask is off. The pretense over.

After decades of pretending they're not biased leftward – even though everyone else knew it – America's "mainstream media" have finally, during 2008, dropped the façade of fairness and impartiality.

The big media openly worship Barack Obama. MSNBC's Chris Matthews, upon listening to Obama speak, says almost mystically, "I felt this thrill going up my leg." Rolling Stone magazine rhapsodizes, "There is a sense of dignity, even majesty, about him …

For its October cover, The Atlantic magazine hires a photographer who intentionally photographs John McCain to look ugly and threatening.("I left his eyes red and his skin looking bad," she later admits, adding, "maybe it was somewhat irresponsible for [the Atlantic] to hire me."

The New York Times publishes Barack Obama's op-ed on Iraq policy, but refuses to run McCain's op-ed. At the same time, all three network's news anchors tag along with Obama like groupies on his overseas stump tour, while McCain receives scant media coverage.

The pregnancy of Sarah Palin's teen daughter is national news, as is the presence in the Alaska governor's mansion of a tanning bed (which Palin paid for herself). But Obama being mentored and nurtured for years by terrorists (William Ayers), communists (Frank Marshall Davis) and America-hating racists (Rev. Jeremiah Wright), which helped shape him into the most left-wing, America-blaming, radically pro-abortion and tyrant-appeasing presidential candidate in U.S. history, is not news.

Yes, the media have long been biased to the left. But this year it's different. This year, the mask has come off and the real face of the mainstream media – or MSM as they're popularly called – has been revealed for all to see. And it ain't pretty.

Documenting this stunning transformation of the American news media – and pointing to amazingly positive changes now occurring in the evolution of the free press – is the October edition of WND's elite monthly Whistleblower magazine, titled "THE YEAR THE MEDIA DIED." <http://shop.wnd.com/store/item.asp... ;

"It doesn't matter how dangerous the reality of Obama is – a hardcore leftist whose intended tax-and-spend policies would, experts say, plunge American into a full-bore depression," said WND Managing Editor and best-selling author David Kupelian. "It doesn't matter how surreal and creepy his campaign gets – enlisting sheriffs and prosecutors to intimidate voters, exploiting children into singing 'Obama's gonna lead us' songs stunningly reminiscent of Chinese Maoist indoctrination. The mainstream press ignores it all, because, very simply, they just /really want Obama to be president."

Poor poor poor Palin - woe is me!

I am sick of all this whining.

Do more interviews, prove yourself the old fashioned way - showing the press you can handle them, handle the job of vp and can handle the rough tough political area.

How about "Meet the Press" or a real live honest to goodness press conference?
