When they found out a little about him, many concluded he was not experienced to be president. Others, however, feel that America is not ready for a Black president. But now, after seeing more of Sarah Palin, America really should be concerned about the person who will be the Veep behind a 72 year old John McCain. All the latest polls show that Americans feel Palin is not qualified for the job as Vice President.

The record implies McCain hasn't taken care of Veterans

Last Friday night, John McCain said "I know the Veterans, I know them well, and I know that they know that I'll take care of them, and I have been proud of their support and their recognition of my service to the Veterans, and I love them, and I'll take care of them, and they know that I'll take care of them."

I came very close to shooting my television set when I heard these words. Then I wondered why Senator Obama let them go without out rebuttal. Two thoughts came to mind, first - never interrupt your opponent when he is boldfaced lying and second - actions speak louder than words so let us examine Senator McCain's voting records.

Palin Knows No Supreme Court Decisions Besides Roe v. Wade

You may recall that White House Press Secretary Dana Perino was stumped when it came to the Cuban Missile Crisis. It could be noted that that event happened a pretty long time ago. However, the Supreme Court makes important decisions all the time; not every day, but frequently.

Unlike Clinton, Biden Gets a Pass

When Hillary Clinton told a tall tale about "landing under sniper fire" in Bosnia, she was accused of "inflating her war experience" by rival Democrat Barack Obama's campaign.

But the campaign has been silent about Obama's running mate, Joe Biden, telling his own questionable story about being "shot at" in Iraq.

OpEd: Why Catholic Pro Lifers will vote for Obama

Why am I as a 'mass going' staunchly pro life Catholic, voting for Obama? Of course I disagree with his views on Roe vs Wade, but I think that his policies and programs more comprehensively follow Catholic social teaching than McCain's--and they even result in fewer abortions.

South Carolina Mayor "Just Curious" If Obama is the Antichrist

Danny Funderburk, mayor of Fort Mill, South Carolina, said the only reason he forwarded on a chain letter asking if Barack Obama was the Antichrist was because he was "just curious."

He told the Charlotte Observer:

"I was just curious if there was any validity to it. I was trying to get documentation if there was any scripture to back it up."

Red, blue may be shifting in handful of states

As the 2008 presidential campaign heads into the home stretch to Nov. 4, the electoral map is taking on familiar hues of red and blue, with a handful of tossup states that will decide the outcome.

But to the Democrats advantage, this time around, most of these battleground states are in red America, giving Democrat Barack Obama more opportunity to gain states.

Obama lays into McCain over economy

Bolstered by polls that show his campaign gaining momentum, Sen. Barack Obama on Sunday sharpened his attacks on rival Sen. John McCain over the crisis gripping the financial sector.

"Sen. McCain doesn't get it. He doesn't understand the storm that hit Wall Street hit Main Street long ago," Obama said before a large crowd outside the Detroit Public Library. "That's why his first response to the greatest financial meltdown in generations was a Katrina-like response. He sort of stood there."
