PBS, YouTube, Others Team for "Video Your Vote"

In the last few elections, much has been made about election fraud, most of it by people denied the right to vote, or who used electronic voting machines and saw their vote flipped from one candidate to another. But what if you could video tape your experience?

Well, actually, you could then, though not as easily as now, and certainly in 2000 you wouldn't have had a place to share it. On Wednesday PBS, YouTube and a host of others teamed to announce "Video Your Vote."

McCain, Obama continue war of the words in third debate

Barack Obama and John McCain both will pursue the image of a strong leader in troublesome economic times as they meet Wednesday night for their third and final presidential debate.

Their face-off comes as Obama widens his lead in typically Democratic states and campaigns with an air of optimism about his prospects, while McCain seeks a way to gain ground and finds himself defending traditionally Republican states with less than three weeks left in the race.

Obama/BidenTax Calculator-Try It!

Try the online Obama/Biden Tax Calculator (not for itemizers though, sorry!). Barack Obama and Joe Biden will cut taxes for 95% of working families, and provide at least three times as much tax relief for middle class families as John McCain and Sarah Palin.

McCain Keynote Speaker at 2006 ACORN Rally!

Golly, for a group that's committed so much "voter fraud" for so long (if you're gullible enough to believe the lies that RNC/FNC has been telling you) it's mighty strange that, as News One notes, "McCain attended an ACORN convention just two years ago."

'Great Schlep' pitches Obama to Florida Jews

"The older demographic particularly were being hit with tons and tons of Obama smear e-mails," Wallach said. "If you really want to talk to them in a way that will bring them over to the Obama side, you want to do it one to one, ideally with people they love. And grandparents love no one more than their grandkids."

OpEd: Palin vindicated?

She claims the report "vindicates" her. She said that the investigation found "no unlawful or unethical activity on my part." Her response is either astoundingly ignorant or downright Orwellian.

Max Blumenthal: Sarah Palin's Ties to the Pro-Secessionist Alaskan Independence Party

A new investigation at Salon.com sheds light on how Governor Palin’s ties to the radical right are far deeper than previously thought. Journalists Max Blumenthal and David Neiwert detail how Palin was elected Mayor of Wasilla over a decade ago with the help of activists from the Alaska Independence Party and the John Birch Society. They allege she tried to return the favor later by attempting to appoint one of them to an empty city council seat.

White House Officials Want Palin Dropped: Parker

It's amazing how much real news is revealed on a faux news comedy show like The Colbert Report. Last month Kathleen Parker, conservative columist, blasted Sarah Palin in a column, saying "she's out of her league." She said Palin should drop out.

Obama's tax calculator

Democrats are thought typically to lose arguments about taxes, as Republicans paint themselves as tax cutters and Democrats get lost in the weeds of explaining that on net, or for the middle class, they're tax cutters too.

McCain "Put the Country at Risk" with Palin Pick: Former Bush Re-Election Chief Strategist

It is no secret that many, including conservatives, feel that Sarah Palin is uniquely unqualified to be Vice-President, whether it be on economic issues, social issues, or global issues. And now the former chief strategist for Bush's re-election campaign has come out still stronger, saying McCain "put the country at risk" with his pick of Palin.

Mad Dog Palin : Rolling Stone

The scariest thing about John McCain's running mate isn't how unqualified she is - it's what her candidacy says about America.

Commentary: He's Not, But So What if Obama was a Muslim or an Arab?

Now, I commend Sen. McCain for correcting that woman, for setting the record straight. But I do have one question -- so what if he was?

So what if Obama was Arab or Muslim? So what if John McCain was Arab or Muslim? Would it matter?

McCain's attacks fuel dangerous hatred: Lifelong Republican

John McCain: If your campaign does not stop equating Sen. Barack Obama with terrorism, questioning his patriotism and portraying Mr. Obama as "not one of us," I accuse you of deliberately feeding the most unhinged elements of our society the red meat of hate, and therefore of potentially instigating violence.
