First in 1850 in Hardeman Co., TN, Levi & Rebecca Simmons and family were living next door to William & Rebecca Moore and family. Their daughter, Amy was Stephen second wife. In the 1840 census same county, I found both a Benjamin and a Levi Simmons, both who could be Hexie father, but Levi was living near William Moore where Benjamin was living a good way off. Due to Stephen first son name being Levi, this leads me to believe that Levi is Hexie father. Also I found Elijah and family in 1850 Madison Co., TN
