Better than the Novag Star Diamond! May 1, 2006

I've got both the Mephisto Master & Novag Star Diamond Chess computers. Had them play a 6-game match. Final score? 4.5-1.5...Mephisto (3 wins & 3 draws) & Novag (3 defeats & 3 draws). So which one is worth every penny? :)

The Mephisto Master is a monster at 40/2. It could beat me with all of its ram(save a K or two) tied behind its cpu. It is a pleasure to use.

i've had the same experience as the other reviewer of this item. did a 4-game match between mephisto master & novag star diamond. final score: 3-1 (3 wins, 1 loss....novag 1 win, 3 defeats). buy the mephisto master chess computer instead! it's got to be the strongest table-top in the market!

what an upgrade! having a very old Mephisto (Milano) when it was made in Germany, I know the quality. This unit is a beast! Well made in every detail!
