ChessHouse.com Account Holders: When you place an order and register with ChessHouse.com the standard information necessary to process your order is collected and stored securely. This includes your name and address, billing and shipping information, phone number, email address, and payment details. In addition we will store information such as which site referred you and the IP address of your computer. This information is used solely for the fulfillment of your orders and for internal statistical analysis. None of your personal information will ever be shared, given, or sold to any third party.

ChessHouse.com Opt-in Newsletter Subscribers: When you subscribe to our newsletter and offers, your email address, name, IP address, referring site, and time you signup is collected. These details are held securely and never shared, given, or sold to any third party. Our newsletter is opt-in. This means you either specifically requested to be added to the newsletter or you placed an order and chose to opt-in at that stage. If at any time you wish to be removed from the newsletter, simply use the instructions provided in the newsletter for prompt removal.

Shopping at ChessHouse.com is safe and secure. This website is protected with SSL (secure socket layer) encryption, the highest standard in Internet security. Whenever you enter personal information and payment information you can be assured that this information is securely transacted and safeguarded on secure servers.

For extra security we do not save your credit card information, but the option of placing your credit card details securely on file for future use is available for purchasers who feel more comfortable with internet shopping.

When completing the final steps of your order, simply verify that the small yellow "lock" icon appears in the lower right corner of your browser. This confirms that the page is secure. You will also notice that these checkout pages will have an "https://" instead of "http://" in the website address bar.

90 Day Return Policy.
If you are not completely satisfied with a product, you have a full 90 days from the date of purchase to return the product for a refund or store credit. Software and DVD's may only be returned if unused and still shrink-wrapped in the original packaging.

No Restocking Fees
We do not charge restocking fees, however it is important that you return items in new condition or as close to new condition as possible. Customer's are expected to pay for return shipping charges except in certain damage cases (see Damages).

Refunds and Store Credits
A refund by check or credit card or PayPal will be automatically given unless a store credit is specifically requested by the customer. Store credits can be applied to future orders or later requested as a cash refund. Shipping fees are non-refundable.

 

Generally shipping fees are non-refundable. However, the shipping fees will be waived or credited if a shipping error is made by Chess House. In this event, we'll cover the cost to replace the product and return. Also, you may be eligible for a shipping fee refund if UPS fails to deliver a guaranteed level service (2nd Day Air, Next Day Air) on the date UPS guarantees.

Damages

You will not be charged for shipping twice if a product arrives damaged and requires replacement. If a product arrives in damaged condition, please contact us immediately and provide as much detail as possible. We will work quickly to replace the damaged merchandise. Save the product and packaging and wait for further instructions. We will usually be sending a replacement right away and the damages will be handled separately. Please don't simply return it - we need to process a claim with the shipping carrier first.

First, please email us with details about why you wish to make a return. This will notify us to expect the return and we can help your return happen smoothly. Here are the simple steps.

2. Package the merchandise carefully  to prevent damage and return to:
