'The Swing School' is a pretty okay Betty Boop cartoon, also featuring
Pudgy the dog. Betty Boop (with the voice talent of Mae Questel) has a
music school for animals. We see how a bunch of those animals,
including an elephant, a female puppy and a giraffe, play the piano.
The puppy Pudgy walks in, he is late. At first Betty is a little mad
but after he gives her a flower she calms down. The other flowers Pudgy
gives to the female puppy. The lesson continues and Pudgy messes things
up every single time so he must stand in the corner. The female puppy
makes him happy again and this brings us to the nice ending of this
cartoon.
Although I like the Betty Boop cartoons with the surreal look much
better, this one is nice in its own way. Especially the ending brings a
big smile to your face. Not really recommended, but not bad either.
