Actress Who Voiced Betty Boop Character Dies

Mae Questel, 89, who provided the voice for Max Fleisher's Betty Boop character in the 1930s (she reprised it again for the 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988) ), died Sunday in New York. Boop was also the voice of Olive Oyl in the Popeye cartoons and played Woody Allen's mother in New York Stories (1989).
