Organizers of an evangelistic crusade in eastern Nigeria said more than 360,000 people made decisions for Christ during the five-day event held last month in the rural town of Takum.

Christ for All Nations (CfaN) evangelist Daniel Kolenda said tens of thousands attended each night of the crusade he led with CfaN founder Reinhard Bonnke March 24-28. He said several Fulani Muslims, an ethnic and religious minority recently known for attacking Christian villages in Jos, professed faith in Christ, and hundreds of people were healed.

One of the producers of Facing the Giants and Fireproof is releasing a new Christian film in theaters this week.

Letters to God, which opens nationwide Friday, spotlights the power of prayer and how the faith of a boy facing cancer changes his neighbors' lives. Inspired by a true story, the film stars Tanner McGuire as Tyler Doherty, an 8-year-old cancer-stricken boy who writes letters to God every day that eventually make their way into the hands of a troubled postman.

Some 15,000 believers from around the U.S. and abroad are expected to attend the Empowered 21 Congress, a meeting of Spirit-filled believers that will begin tonight and run through Saturday in Tulsa, Okla.

Attendees will meet for three days at the Oral Roberts University (ORU) Mabee Center to discuss the future of the Pentecostal-charismatic movement, and in particular how to introduce "Spirit-empowerment" to a new generation.

More than 250,000 people are going without shoes Thursday to raise awareness about the plight of children in developing nations who contract preventable diseases because they lack shoes.

The One Day Without Shoes event is organized by TOMS Shoes, a company founded by Christian businessman Blake Mycoskie that gives away a pair of shoes for every pair sold. More than 1,400 events are being held nationwide, with community groups, colleges and individuals spreading the word on Facebook and Twitter.

The Rev. Wilson Issavi, whose church is affiliated with the Assemblies of God, was released from Dastgard prison in Isfahan last week. Conflicting reports indicated Issavi, 65, was released sometime between March 28 and the morning of March 30.
