Once in a Blue Moon centers on Brynda Seymore, known to her friends as "Bryn," a newspaper reporter and obituary writer. Bryn was orphaned at age 9 when her mother allegedly committed suicide.
She was raised by her grandmother, who never spoke of her mother, and never knew her father's identity.While reporting a story in Houston about the 40th anniversary of the NASA Apollo 14 moon landing, Bryn believes she may have found her father.
