BLACK WEB AWARDS ELIGIBILITY AND RULES

The following Eligibility and Rules shall apply to all websites seeking Nomination for a BlackWebAward:

Nominations:
1. All websites are nominated by the online community. Only Nominations entered at BlackWebAwards.com will be accepted for consideration. There is no cost to nominate a site. Nominations must be received between February 15 - April 17, 2010.

2. Any person may submit a Nomination. All nominations must provide a COMPLETE website name (i.e. www.blacktvonline.com). Nominations that do not include the complete name will be automatically discarded and will not be considered.

3. Only one Nomination is required for consideration. Sites receiving more than one Nomination will not receive any additional benefit during the review process.

4. A site may be nominated in more than one category, however, sites are judged on ten different criteria, including relevance to a category. Accordingly, one should take care to nominate sites in categories that best reflect the site's primary purpose.

5. Website owners may nominate their own website. If you are a fan of a website, you can nominate it as well.


Site Review and Judging
1. All Nominees will be reviewed by the Black Web Awards Academy of Judges (AOJ). The AOJ is a volunteer group of persons selected by the Black Web Awards committee. They are tasked with the responsibility of reviewing the many thousands of Nominations to help select the final Nominees in each category.

2. The identity for each AOJ is confidential, as are the results and opinions produce in their review. Under no circumstance will this information be provided to any person.

3. Each site will be reviewed by at least five (5) AOJ's, and will result in a composite score based on the judging criteria. The final results will be compiled, thereby producing the finalists in each category.

Eligibility
All potential Nominees with content or a stated purpose of providing "Black themed content", or content from the Black perspective. We invite you to review our prior winners list from the 2007, 2008 and 2009 BlackWebAwards to gain an understanding of what we mean by Black themed content.

Voting Process
1. When the Voting process begins, anyone may cast a vote for one, several or all Nominees in any categories.

2. All votes must be completed online. We do not accept mail, email, voice, phone or fax votes.

3. There is no limit to the number of times you may cast your vote for your favorite Nominees. You do not have to be a registered member of BlackWebAwards.com. However, we encourage you to register, as it helps confirm that you are a "person" and not a "bot" or other form of malicious software.

4. In the event of a tie, we will use the top five composite scores compiled by the sites Academy of Judges review to determine the winner for a particular category.

The Black Web Awards welcome your input and comments. It is our intention to produce an event which is positive, original, and appropriate for all ages. To that end, we encourage you to submit your thoughts.

All decisions rendered by the BlackWebAwards are final and cannot be appealed.
