ATLANTA, Nov. 19, 2010, 11:30 p.m. - XM Satellite Radio and WOL-AM radio talk show host Joe Madison is calling for action against racially charged "throwback" statements made by syndicated talk show host Rush Limbaugh.

Madison said that he is concerned about Limbaugh making racially charged statements about outgoing House Whip James Clyburn and President Obama, both Democrats.

Limbaugh, who is a conservative, has posted a picture of Clyburn driving outgoing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a reference to "Driving Miss Daisy", and has said Obama's administration is “graffiti on the walls of American history.”

“We have not heard this type of conversation even when segregationists were at their height,” Madison told MSNBC's Ed Schultz, “Stations that carry Limbaugh's program have got to ask...do you really want to subject your audience to this throwback era when racism ran rampant?”

Madison, and Rev. Al Sharpton, plan to gather civil rights groups from around the country to do “exactly what the Anti-Defamation League would do” and address individual radio stations which carry Limbaugh's program to point out the "harmful effects of his racist messages."

The next step, Madison says, will be to take the issue directly to the FCC.
