Interactive One, a Division of Radio One located in downtown New York City, is the 5th largest U.S. social networking property. We serve 600 million dynamic page views per month and we do it with a half-dozen engineers, so there are many opportunities for a new developer to make an impact.
At Interactive One, the products you build will be used by millions of people every day. And unlike companies that measure their development cycles in months or years, we generally deploy new products within a few weeks. We've developed powerful tools—like a version control and build system for Oracle databases—to help us test, deploy, and maintain our web sites.
Because we run some of the most highly trafficked PHP sites in the world, we're constantly facing new and exciting scalability challenges. Our team has released numerous open source projects, including APC, a PHP compiler add-on used by Yahoo, Facebook, and many others, and we're always looking for new ways to contribute to the developer community.
