Visit the Underground cistern, the largest of the underground water reservoirs from the Byzantine era. The pillars were brought from antique cities of Asia minor. Then drive to Suleymaniye mosque, commissioned by Suleyman the magnificient, this mosque is a masterpiece of the grand architect Sinan. Continue your tour with Kariye Museum Church of St. Saviour in Chora, an ancient Byzantine church later converted into a mosque in the 15th century AD. It is now a museum of Byzantine mosaics and frescoes. Entrance fees are included in the total cost.

Depart the Kusadasi port with your private driver and guide, driving approximately one hour to your first off-the-beaten-path ancient site, Metropolis. Still under excavation, the first settlement of this ancient site was founded nearly 5,000 years ago. The city rapidly developed as a trade centre before being abandoned following the Turkish conquest in the 15th century. After your Metropolis tour, you will continue to Claros, a prophecy centre of Colophon. This sacred site dates back to the 7th century B.C. and features the Temple of Apollo, an extremely important symbol of prophecy. A sacred cave near the Temple points to the presence of Cybele cults. The spiritualism of the ancient site is astonishing. Continue with a short drive to a handicraft centre for refreshments and a carpet demonstration. Return to Kusadasi.

Depart the Kusadasi port with your private driver and guide, heading to Sirince (pronounced 'she-RIN-jay'), a lovely little town located in the hills around 1,000 feet above sea level. The housing within the town was all built when it was primarily a Greek settlement. Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and peach orchards, nearly all of the houses in town command spectacular views. Farming, wine making and olive oil production are the principal activities of this town, proud of its heritage. After exploring the town and the unique Orthodox Church, you will continue to the town of Tire, approximately 60 miles from Sirince. The town has a variety of cultural inheritances (including over 100 mosques), left from multiple civilizations that once inhabited the area. After lunch in a local restaurant (included), you will return to Kusadasi, stopping on the way for a brief carpet presentation before returning to port.

You will depart Piraeus to Athens with your private driver and guide, covering the main points of interest both ancient and modern as your guide provides interesting commentary. First stop will be in the pedestrian zone of the Acropolis where your guide will provide a short explanation on the Acropolis and Parthenon (exterior visit only). From a scenic viewpoint, you will be able to photograph the famous Acropolis, which stands in the distance on a rocky hill high above Athens. Imagine how the Parthenon must have looked thousands of years ago when it was decorated with sculptured metopes, statues and a frieze over 500 feet long. Enjoy an orientation drive of Athens from the comfort of your vehicle. You will see Hadrian's Arch, Temple of Olympian Zeus, Constitution Square, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Parliament, the Academy, the University and the National Library. At the termination of the orientation drive, you will arrive at the most suitable point for entering the Plaka. Proceed with your guide on a short walking tour of Athens's oldest and most picturesque neighborhood.
