E-mail Account Verification

We ask that you verify ownership of your e-mail address before creating a new account if one already exists under the e-mail address. If you think you may have an account already, it's always best to go to www.amazon.com/password to reset your password.

How to Verify Your E-mail Address

When you enter your account e-mail address, we'll send an e-mail to that address. When you receive that message, simply follow the instructions and click on the link in the e-mail message to verify you received it.

If a new account is created with an e-mail address that's already associated with another account, you won't be able to enter other accounts under that e-mail address. You won't be able to sign into those other account without also verifying ownership of that e-mail address while signing in. If you're unsure of the steps to take, please contact Customer Service.

Difficulty Verifying Your E-mail Address

If you didn't receive our verification e-mail, try these troubleshooting steps:

Confirm it's entered correctly.

  • Make sure it's spelled correctly with the correct domain name.
  • Make sure there are no spaces in the e-mail address.

Check your spam or junk folder.

It's possible the message was filtered there.

If you've checked all of the above, and you're still unable to verify your e-mail address, please contact Customer Service.
